 Flux-Cored-Arc Welding (FCAW)This process is a variation of GMAW. Electrodes comprise a metal sheath surrounding a core of fluxing and alloying coin pounds. Carbon content determines toughness and abrasion resistance--as carbon rises, abrasion resistance increases and toughness drops.
